We all love to go on holiday, be it abroad or somewhere in your own country. There is lots of different choices available for the modern discerning traveler which means that you can find something to suit all tastes and budgets. Making sure that we have the right accessories with us while we are away is not only a way of making sure that we look good, but also being practical whilst we enjoy our time off from work relaxing and enjoying ourselves.

Hats

Whether you are going on a cheap holiday to Spain, or going skiing in the Alps, a good hat is a great idea to not only look good, but also wear something practical. If you are going away on a winter holiday, then a good quality Hat will help keep your head and ears warm. If you are going away to a sunnier and warmer climate, then a Hat will help keep the sun off you giving you a little bit of shade when walking around in the hot sun. These are extremely practical accessories which can also be a great fashion statement, coming in all manner of shapes and sizes. From the simple baseball cap to the sombrero or sun hat, there is something which will suit everyone and you will be glad that you brought one with you on holiday.

Glasses

Sunglasses are another very cool accessory which you will need to make sure that you take with you on holiday. Again these are not only practical accessories but they are also a fashion statement as well. There are lots of designer names available to the consumer now days.

  • Oakley
  • Ray Ban
  • Armani
  • D & G
  • Gucci
  • Tiffany & Co.

All of the big designers are looking to cash on this lucrative business which means the choice available is quite staggering. This can also be true of the range of prices as well for sunglasses. Some designer glasses can be extremely expensive so they are not within everybody’s budget. This has lead to a lot of cheap quality fakes flooding the market. These may look almost identical and be a fraction of the price, but you have to be careful when purchasing cheap sunglasses, especially for children. You need to make sure that the glasses you are considering buying offer you UV protection from the sun, otherwise you can cause damage to your eyesight. Saving some money is a great thing but not at the expense of your eyesight. Choosing a style of sunglasses which have a large lens or wrap around the eye is ideal to make sure that you have the maximum amount of protection. You can even get prescription sunglasses if you require them and will need to go see your optometrist to see what is available.

Bags

Bags are an almost essential accessory for when you are travelling. They are great for storing your essential things such as;

  • Passports and Documents
  • Hats and Glasses when not in use
  • Money and Travellers Cheques
  • Sun Screen
  • Phone
  • Extra clothes or a towel

Making sure that you choose a bag that is not too big, but big enough to get all your essentials in is crucial. You may also want to take into account the climate that you are visiting, if there is a chance of rain or getting wet then you may want to look at getting a water proof bag to protect all of your valuables. Just as with the sunglasses, there are a range of designer labels and also cheaper makes as well. Make sure that you get something which is practical first rather than just purchasing on its looks. You will need to be comfortable carrying the bag around when it is fully packed. Something which can be slung over the shoulder or a small backpack may be a good suitable alternative.

Shoes

It is also very important to make sure that you take the correct footwear with you in order to remain comfortable. Instead of going away somewhere hot and wearing your trainers without any socks all day, in the process making for some very smelly shoes, you should take some shoes or sandals which are open and allow your feet to breath. Not only are they comfortable in the heat but they will also not smell your hotel room out as well. Again if you are going somewhere where it is colder or you are going to possibly get wet, try taking the appropriate footwear to make sure you not only feel good, but look good as well. Comfort and practicality should always be paramount, but you can also look good at the same time.
